As title, are there any “good” (subjective I know) decaffeinated cafetière ground coffees available from the usual supermarkets you would recommend please?
Tomorrow will be a good day.

  • I have just had some craft house decaf Guatemala - it's very good as espresso for sure, and I think fruity enough for a good cafetiere. It's an excellent coffee.

I've only ever seen their 3 decaf. It's drinkable.

On the basis that their instant coffee isn't too bad I'd give PErcol a go, although I've never seen their "proper" decaf in the shops.

Lidl decaff is OK. But often run out.

    Why?
Why remove the only good thing about coffee?

I had to due to fkn high blood pressure, despite being 10.5 stone, lean and a marathon runner!

Because it could be a cause of the suspected severe IBS flare ups. It’s trial and error to find out what sets it off for me as everyone is different and there is no definitive way of knowing without trying.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

Lavazza Dek beans would be my recommendation, you can buy 500g packs for just under £8 from Amazon if you buy 2.

I drink the regular red Lavazza during the day, and switch to the decaf later in the evening, and it tastes equally as nice (honestly!).

With so many comparison web sites out there, how do I choose the best one?

IBS, lack of sleep, increased anxiety.

Another vote for the blue Lavazza decaf. I've given it to many guests and none of them have spotted it for decaf.

I got given a few different varieties of coffee from Whittards for Christmas. They’re full caffeine but might be worth giving their decaf options a whirl as they are some of the best coffee’s I’ve ever had. So maybe their decaf is decent too?

  • Just saw from supermarket...

Illy is probably the best bet. If you get lucky, you'll get a relatively fresh tin.

I’ve tried the Lavazza decaff, it was ok.

Just brewed some Sainsbury’s Colombian decaff, very nice indeed.

Coaltown Coffee (who are less than a mile from my house) do an amazing one called Jenkins Jones and its the best Ive ever had.

    https://www.coaltowncoffee.co.uk/products/jenkin-jones-no2-decaffinated?variant=4013319454731 ;

They also do them Nespresso Pods (i think).

Wife rates the blue lavazza decaf, too..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Cafedirect Machu Picchu decaf seems to be where it’s at. A lovely cup of coffee!

All this time I've been seeing the thread title and thinking "WTF is a decaffeinated coffee cafetiere ? - Surely they're the same as the ones you use for normal coffee ?"
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.
