Tubescreamer mini mod

Tubescreamer mini is great, but the settings of the tone and level controls are hard to see, as there is no visible mark beyond a slot in the knob.


So, using toothpick and a bit of white paint, this is the result:


Recommended. I mean, what else is there to do during lockdown!

Yes, I did that to mine too, which is currently for sale along with all my other pedals in the classifieds here....

I mean, why would they conceivably omit it on the design? Madness.
I did it to my Ibby delay, too. Essential mod.

Are you sure those knobs are nitro-friendly?
Is'nt there a risk it could start dissolving the knobs, eventually eating its way through the PCB?

Humbrol enamel, not nitro.

Most of my mini pedals aren't marked. My eyesight isn't the best anyway so it's a pain in the arse.

@NelsonP is the paint you used the same type used on airfix models etc?

I sometimes use a white chinagraph pencil for this purpose.
Sometimes a drop of Tippex.

I used one of my daughter's yellow crayons to fill the marker slots on all my Mooer pedals. Worked a treat.

I did this before with an Ana Echo. Found it easier using Tip-Ex.

Another simple mod. I've put a rubber washer under the output knob. It's way to easy to accidentally move this with your foot otherwise....
