Ambitious ebay prices....epsesh USA Series/Standard Strats?

siraxemansiraxeman Frets: 1935

I regularly search USA Series/American Standard Strats on ebay and frequently find people asking silly prices for theirs. Its their right to ask whatever price they wish so its not really a complaint as such but I do wonder if people are out of touch. This one is being sold by some music store so will reflect the ridiculous asking price clearly!

"The price includes Paypal and eBay fees. The price in the shop may be less and payment methods include credit, debit and Amex cards. For details please phone 01753 542720. This item may end at any time."

Doesn't look like they want you to buy it on eBay, they're just using eBay as an advert for you to buy it direct from them.

perhaps its a typo and he meant £495...
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

even taking all that into account and that shops still sell used gear at silly high prices...! But yeah quite possibly using ebay as an advert...unless some real half wit actually clicks the BIN button. God loves a trier they say.....

You think that's bad?  Check out these two for a price comparison:

But there are loads of eBay shops that list normal DVD's at hundreds of quid that are still available.  Really, really weird.
