Small active speakers question

Can anyone recommend a decent pair of active speakers that are too expensive,to play a keyboard/synth at home.

I've been using some Presonus Eris 3.5 for my first steps into modelling, and have been really pleased with them. Good range of inputs, quite compact, inexpensive. They have loads of low end for their size, so can be a bit boomy depending on positioning (e.g. too close to a wall)

  • I've always used Genelecs which are a bit spendy and am about to buy another pair. Have been doing a fair bit of research on this lately, just titillating myself with the latest and greatest reviews. The Kali LP6s seem to get rave reviews in their price range. Might be worth a look.

What sort of volume do you need and what's the budget?
