Either way, I just found this video by accident and rather enjoyed it - Japanese all female metal band Lovebites. This sounds quite a lot like Dragonforce to me. Great to see women playing this sort of music!

There are loads and loads of female metal bands now. And also loads of metal bands with a mix of male and female members.

I love the sound of heavy music with female vocals. Probably listen to more female metal vocalist than male these days. And not just the operatic kind - check out Venom Prison. 

My most played albums of recent weeks have been the two latest by Unleash the Archers, fronted by a female singer.

If you want another all-girl Japanese band take a look at Band Maid. Though they are more towards the Foo Fighters end than full on metal.

I feel the need to point out that the last Babymetal single was a total banger!

Also obviosuly poppy and spiritbox are 2 other fairly current examples getting alot of attention.

Ive only seen one metal girl band live and that was Girls School when they supported Motörhead .
