5.8ghz in the UK

Do those little jack plug wireless systems that operate at 5.8ghz theoretically need a licence to be used in the UK?

I've not been entirely sure about this but what I do know is that my 5.8 wireless kit works a charm and was a total bargain!

I'm guessing they suffer slightly less interference than the usual 2.4ghz jobs. Unlikely to be strong-armed by the Ofcom rozzers out of a gig for infringements!
