Drilling tuner locating pin hole - guitar tuner pin jig

What's Hot
After foolishly not realising I'd have to drill pin holes for some Sperzel locking tuners I got on this forum, I'm wondering the best way to do this. Not sure if I want to invest in a £60 jig myself but I cannot seem to find an alternative online.

Does anyone have some experience in drilling pin holes for locking tuners?

I've always done it by fitting the tuner to the headstock, lining it up very carefully, and pressing hard - that leaves a pin mark in the right place. Then centre-punch it and drill.

Do one at a time. Use a straight edge against the gear casings to align all six.

I also put a square against the headstock and mark a straight line through the indents

They're a pita and hate fitting them
