A signature or guitar you wish that brand would reissue

Does anyone else have an experience when they have seen a guitar from the past and wished Fender, Gibson whomever would reissue it. Not particularly because who played but just the guitar itself?

I don't know why but I wish Fender would make a copy of Mike Bloomfield's Telecaster (in its recent state). Now he is a great musician, but certainly not an idol. I just think the guitar looks so cool, even more to highlight the cutout was done post his ownership.

LTD Bill Kelliher Eclipse BK600 but maybe do a proper silverburst rather than the aged/green one. It's the perfect modern spec Les Paul for me!

Always fancied a Billy Corgan Strat.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Not one which has ever actually been officially issued... but Clapton’s The Fool SG.  I assume there would be an awful lot of difficulty with ownership of the artwork.

One from not so long ago, but a none Custom Shop Dave Grohl DG335, or even better an Epiphone version. Basically a version I don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford.

    Mike Bloomfield surely?

I'm genuinely surprised that Fender have never done a Richard Thompson 1959 Strat - the one with the squinty middle pickup from 'Across a Crowded Room'.

Those look awesome. They're not the same size as a regular 335 though, right? That would weigh a ton, surely?

Not a guitar, strictly... but the original Fender Bass V - although tuned B-G like a modern five.

Such a cool-looking bass. The only famous user I know of is John Paul Jones.

If they did a Mexican Classic series one in LPB with a pearl guard I might be forced to buy it.

  • I'd like the Gibson les paul vixen reissued.

Thinner body, maple cap, nice colours and affordable.

The Gibson Luther Dickinson ES-335 with P90s and a Bigsby was an interesting, if short lived, signature model that was a useful variation on the standard 335. Would like to see that back, even though I could never afford one.

Also the anniversary Epiphone Casino from a few years back with the royal tan-esque finish and USA P90s. Still kicking myself for not getting one of those.
