    Maybe it’s because I like the look of the guitar on the right and because it’s closer to the camera and doesn’t have that reflection - but yeah still white.

    But I've got a butterscotch maple neck Tele with a black pickguard, so I'm biased.

    My Tele is similar to the Tele on the right but mine has the 6 saddle bridge and the pick guard is white.  So white it is.

    Ah but they didn’t do a rosewood board till mid ‘59!...

    ’54/55 was white guard maple neck... before that was a black guard!!!!!

    White with maple fretboard looks a bit anemic to me... so I would choose black:-)
