So... what are we using for carrying cables, spare strings, batteries, etc?

As per title - once we’re out and about again I’m hoping to have something a bit more presentable than an old ASDA carrier. Bonus points if it can be left lying around the house without getting an icy stare from Mrs9000 ;-)
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Laptop bag is a good shout, can also fit a smallish pedal board in one as well as cables, batteries and strings

Band cables go in a old samsonite suitcase

Mine a Stanley toolbox or heavy weave shoulder bag (rock is tool box, jazz is shoulder bag)
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Aluminium briefcase. I like laptop bags, and have several for other purposes, but they don’t fight well with speaker cabinets and flight cases,

Squash it all into my pedaltrain soft case! I thought everyone did the same haha. Laptop case might be easier!

I have a Mono tick that perfectly encloses my pedaltrain nano and psu, plus a few spare patch adams cables etc. Whole thimng goes into a green Osprey Manta 28 rucksack, which also fits all cables and guitar tools. Strings go in the guitar front pouch.

When I attach the Tick on my Mono M80, the whole thing is unmanageable, so it's best carried separately.

backpack or tote, would like a pelicase but at over £200 that's just not feasible anytime soon.

could do with a wheelie luggage case with a sturdy handle, fill one with leads and a few pedals and they weigh too much to hurriedly yank about the tube network without falling apart

A small carry-on suitcase, the kind that can fit in an overhead locker, is useful.  I have a couple with extending handles / wheels and which only cost about £15 each.  You can pick them up in supermarkets or Sports Direct.

Anything that won't fit in the guitar case goes in a backpack.

a drummer i know used to trawl the charity shops for wheeled golf bags, perfect for drum hardware and not as heavy or expensive as a lengthy road case

I use a travel holdall. Its perfect,  one big main compartment and 2 side pockets all with sturdy zips and strong material.  Used it for 10 years now.

I use a backpack as it leaves hands free. I want to make the minimum number of trips possible to and from my car.

    It's not a competition.

This. I have a well padded Dell laptop bag with compartments and front pocket that is brilliant for carrying my Pod Go, PSU, cables, 2 additional footswitches, strings, bottlenecks, wire cutters, G10 Relay, spare tuner etc and still has loads of room left for any other sundries. Handles and shoulder strap. Very light, very strong.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)
