Does any one have both a Syncopy and a Vibe, and tried comparing them? 

The Syncopy is a delay, but if you set the delay time to minimum, the feedback to 0, ramp up the subdivisions, set the mix to 100% wet and tune the modulation to taste you get what I am sure is a vibe. I was curious as to how it compares to a vibe proper?

Yes, operating a delay in this way creates true vibrato. The pitch shift at any given moment is the same across all frequencies.

The vibe in a Univibe (a kind of phaser) is somewhat different - the delay is produced by one or more all-pass filters, and the amount of delay, and thus pitch shift, is frequency dependent.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been playing around with the Syncopy recently as a Vibe and Chorus, such a flexible pedal before you even get into the Midi control.

My favourite delay is my Deluxe Memory Man 1100TT and I always have a bit of modulation dialled in - that’s as much chorus as I’ll ever need!
