SOLD - Carr Slant 6v 2x12 bought from @DrCornelius ;;earlier this year.  After much experimentation, I'm sticking with my other amps.  It's a heavy beast at about 60lbs, see other details in the other thread but I will add more pictures soon.  I've also obtained parts of the circuit diagram from Steve Carr as the amp didn't come with a channel switching footswitch so this could be built.

Same forum price as I purchased it for - £775 collected from Kent or Lower M25 area.  No postage on this, too heavy!

Sorry no trades, I don't need any other amps/guitars/fx :-)

Wow that’s a bargain for someone. Great amps I’d get it if I didn’t already have one

This went in about 15 minutes when I advertised it before and for good reason - this is a crazy bargain. Awesome quality amp with power scaling for home or gigging and that wonderful 3D sparkly clean that Carr amps seem to specialise in. Combine that with a drive channel that goes from plexi to hot rodded marshall and it’s a cracker.

It would be terrible if a coupe of ebayers bid this up to a ridiculous amount and then didn't pay wouldn't it?

Almost the exact opposite of the paying it forward thread - disappointing really.

I agree that its disrespectful to the forum and the seller to so blatantly seek profit from a sale.

I am watching it, would have bought it myself had I been quick enough, however if I can bag it for less than what it sold here for I will donate the balance to either the seller or tFB expenses fund (his choice).

  • The auction has ended as got an email an hour ago…
must have been an attack of conscience perhaps?

id actually bid on this but didn’t realise it was an amp that had been on here! ( I have a saved search for Carr stuff)

I doubt it, more likely someone found him off eBay and made an offer .....

@ZenOvertone doesn't live a million miles away from the Ebay seller's location so I'm guessing he probably sold it to a mate or mate of a mate locally who didnt get on with it. That one step removal from here means the new owner doesnt have any moral obligation to the Fretboard so can do what they want with it unfortunately

in saying that, t I'm surprised it didnt go on here straight away at the bargain price Zen listed it at - I think it was up for 3 days or so before Zen marked it as sold and thats enough time for a potential; buyer here to make contact I reckon.

    Just my 2 penneth worth
