I haven't seen inside the most recent series, but the slightly older ones are very old-school construction which is actually a good thing as they're much easier to repair if anything does go wrong in the longer term.

Used some of them at an outdoor gig last night.  Ok.  Quite boxy sound with eKit drums but adequate for vocals/acoustics.  There are better but perhaps not at that price.  One will drive another passive too.    Will struggle with bass if you are DI’ing and relying on it.
