Yes, think only in VOS though if I understand correctly

That's good, I like VOS.  Although again I have no plans to buy anything, but you never know.

Couple of others reported on such as Mylespaul forum...there is one person who has had multiple issues yes, but equally they've also been through quite a lot of guitars

How can anyone expect someone to pay £5k in exchange for that?! That is a once in a lifetime purchase for most people and it feels like that sort of thing gets taken for granted more and more these days.

It would be heart breaking, and I’d be getting my cash back asap. 

This is similar to my Ltd Ouija experience. 

It was £1500 and I thought that was a bit nuts but I had the cash, tried 3 and all 3 had defects of varying severity. 

Really bummed me out, it was beautiful and I waited around 7 months for it.

Thing is, £1500 is a lot of money to most people, thats an entire months wages pretty much, so I was picky, and who wouldnt be tbh. Too right I say.

It doesn't look good at all. Really hard to have any confidence that if you do anything to improve/maintain it (nail polish just to seal, drop fill, full on refinish. Take your pick) you're not immediately just testing that "full warranty" that my understanding is it doesn't cover finishes anyway. Where you're reliant on dealer or manufacturer who are both happy to have that on sale.

My 2c is neither should be happy to be putting that out there for sale in that state.

Absolutely 110% spot on.  Perhaps Gibson think their reputation is so shot it can't bump any lower, so WTF.  Love is often blind.

Is that the same issue?  I thought it was reportedly only with cherry finishes, although I appreciate there will be some cherry in the burst.  Wait until all the paint starts flaking off the back.

Notice this one is Ultra Light Aged, as well.

That line between the knobs doesn’t look like delaminating lacquer, the edges are quite ragged and none of the surround area shows signs of lifting.
