Cheers, they should spring into life esp the top, although the back's going to be quite dark it'll glow & show itself well with some light on it.

Prepping done and started colouring in - the light's pretty strong but the colours are something like this at least.
As the neck was orangey and boringly plain I stained & sanded a bit of something into it, using a stain colour that'd help it blend with the body better. In less strong light they sit together pretty well.

This is before lacquering got started.

The angle shows the flame at about it's flamiest, obviously changes a lot with angle. No 'popping' the flame with stain or anything, that's a layer of shellac and then the colour sprayed

It's been rounds of clearcoating & waiting, but now onto building up, wiring etc.

Quick pic, the colour's are a bit off but it's a phone pic under strong light

Trying to show the heel, it's smoothed away while not fully contoured, with the body thickness as well it gets to get up that end of things

Reflection off the back. It's quite flat at the mo but over time it will settle down & sink and show some texture.

Cheers all It won't stay this flat, but it's the intention to have slight sinking/texture further down the line.

The colours change with light and the flame changes, sometimes almost disappears, but something like that ^
