    Had one of these for a few years (for all I know this one was mine!?) very flexible amp, not just for metal by any means... really good cleans as well as distortion... only passed it on cos my back was bad at the time and these are fairly heavy... glwts ..(no affiliation btw)

    Very true @4on6 I don't know why people seem affixed that these are metal machines. Would prefer a trade at this point.

    I had an st for about 9 years which is a rock machine, and a 45 before than which is a blues machine.  The cl and sl are more aimed at metal, but there all very versatile.  Cleans are better than almost any other higher gain amps.
