Recording Amp Solutions

help me out with a recording solution. I only want to record myself as a practice tool (so i can hear how bad I am twice)
Ive got a small 5w tube head and a cab, i'd like to record direct from the amp into my behringer interface silently. I have a Joyo DI box so that's covered. I can either stuff an attenuator in between the amp and the cab (as long is it will keep it silent) or buy a cheap solid state head (hotone or something like a EHX 5mm) to use for recording.
My preferred option is an attenuator  but I cant afford to spend 200 quid or so on the Captor. Does either the Harley Benton or the Bugera power soaks do the silent job?
