Doesn't Billy get every pickup wound to sound close to Pearly Gates?  It seems a bit pointless to have a rotating pickup system.

    Not quite.

Gibbons' stage guitar rack system includes several programmable graphic equalisers. These are what "correct" whichever guitar he is wearing at the time to sound like the LP he calls Pearly Gates.

Live I think he eq's all this guitars with a graphic eq in an attempt to make them all sound like Pearly Gates.

He had that big eq system so that he could play any guitar and have it sound the same live. He also owns a huge amount of guitars so one with an interchangeable pickup system seems about the last thing he needs.
    But, interesting.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

Interesting.  So now he can use it to make all his rotating pickups sound the same!

(Edit:  Three posts telling me all about his programmable EQ system.  How did I not know about that?)

The rotating pickup system is, errm, 'interesting' - but the look and vibe of the guitar yanks my tallywacker.  I'm not a Gibson fan but I love Firebirds and this has a 'Bird/EBMM Mariposa vibe to it.  Didn't scroll down as far as the price as I knew it would depress me.  Too many guitars, not enough time, not enough money...

I don't know anything about Wild Customs, and I always say a guitar's worth what someone's prepared to pay for it... but that price doesn't seem justifiable.

Trying to think where I've seen that Gyrock system before - I think it's in the intro of Darrell Braun's YouTube videos.

Only place I've seen it too Philly.   Destined to go horribly wrong over the years and I'm guessing it'll get swapped out (eventually).  But the guitar itself is uber-cool.

Seymour Duncan Inc. built a rotating pickup thingy for a trade show.

Phillip McKnight has plug-in pickup modules for his test guitar. (Shades of the Dan Armstrong Plexiglass guitar and bass of the late Sixties.)

I actually think it looks OK....maybe. Not seen the headstock though.

Looks better than the St Vincent IMO.

    Don't want one though.

Looks like a TB1000 Travis Bean shagged an Ernie Ball St. Vincent...

Justin Johnson just had a rig rundown with a very similar idea, different manufacturer, switching was cool.

Well, there's a pattern emerging.  What about Glenn Tipton's Hamers (too metal?)
