I've previously extolled the virtues of my Turner 65 acoustic in a couple of threads here and there so i thought i'd buy another just to leave around in alternative tunings. They're not stocked by any dealers or shops so you buy direct from the website. The 65 is a big guitar and i fancied something a bit more manageable so i chose the Turner CLS -01E. It's a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, probably laminate, and shadow electronics. I lowered the action a fair bit and adjusted the trussrod and it plays nicely. Pretty good for just over a couple of hundred quid.

Congratulations - those Turner guitars are incredible value for money. I had an all-solid spruce / rosewood jumbo lefty (85CE) which was excellent.

  • That appears to have the same burst finish as my £1200 Gibson
