Any users here?  Some reason I have GAS for one of these ever since my TB-2W arrived and then my mind keep thinking back to that blind test on Andertons where I thought the Boss sounded the nicest.

Normally the wise thing to do is to sleep on it and I have and it's been over a month but i am still thinking about the CE-2W...clearly not going away.

So, can someone tell me it's crap and not worth the money? lol

(same goes with Specular Tempus and HS Stomp)

Sorry to disappoint- it's awesome. I don't think it does the CE1 as it thinks it does, but otherwise, brilliant.

However, I prefer the MIJ old CE2 and also @ThorpyFX Oggin and the TC SCF (still a class leader)

I use one and I love it. I use the ce2 setting though rather than the other two. I tried a few and finally realised that the sound I think of as chorus is the boss ce2. If you want that sound then this is great. Other modes also very good but as I say I like the standard ce2 setting.

  • I used to have an old Jazz Chorus 50 and I’d say the CE-2W does the chorus and vibrato sounds from that, except even better. Great buffer in it too.

I've got one and I think it's absolutely brilliant.

I've had other CE2 clones and none of them sound anywhere near as good.

It's also really versatile as you also have the CE1 which almost sounds like a very liquid flange (and works well in front of the amp with drive) and also the vibrato setting.

Best chorus pedal Boss currently makes! grin

FWIW I think all the Waza pedals are solid buys. Some are niche/specialist obviously, not everyone needs a Dimension or a Metal Zone, but the middle-of-the-road bread n' butter effects tend to be excellent.

I'm about to buy a Dimension so I'll update with which I like more.

All the Wazas seem to be great and I've also got the delay and chorus on a daisy chain with some drives without a load of noise.

Awesome - been eyeing up a Dimension, just not sure if it would be actually all that useful since I have the CE2W already.

Technically I don't NEED another Chorus pedal, I have the WV...but something about the simplicity of the Boss and that blue colour really calling out to me.

I've not used the waza but have had an old ce-2, ce-3 and dod-fx 96.

The ce-2 and ce-3 both sounded spectacular but added noise to the signal. The ce-2 did not cut as much bass as the ce-3 did, but it wasn't an enormous difference.

The dod is technically better sounding than both, but a bit different. No noise added to the chain, no bass drop, brilliant sounding chorus with a slightly phasey thing available if wanted. Overall, my pick. But it's built like shit and needs a funny power supply converter cable. It'll break one day. I'll be sad.

If you want a ce-2 tone that is well built and modded for more depth/range on tap, the visual sound h20 V2 or v3 is excellent. Lower noise than the vintage examples, well built, soft switch, and can be pretty vibey if you want it to be. Another top pick imo.

As a bonus, all the above are blue! As law dictates ;)

    These are my findings too…

Best Ive used is the Free The Tone, but the simple CE2w is very good.

Like young James said, nothing Ive played sounds or feels really like a CE1, as the pre amp makes all the difference.

That's the conclusion TPS came to.

The CE2-W perfectly models the chorus in the CE1, but the CE1 is a chorus and a preamp and the CE2-W makes no attempt to model the preamp so it doesn't have any of the crunchy character. I really like it, but it doesn't drive at all.

I am a chorus junkie and have played most of them.  The CE2W is my favourite - the only chorus I enjoyed as much was the Retro-Sonic, which is an almost perfect CE-1 clone but unreliable.

Well I got the Dimension and I can say with complete conviction...

They are both great, buy both :)

My wife liked the CE2-W more however and she usually claims all guitar pedals sound the same (we know she is probably right).

Can I really have two chorus pedals on my board?

What is the noise level like on these two?

    Very good.

They also have super clean power as I've got them running on a daisy chain.

I think I like the CE2-W more than the DC2-W although they are both great.

The Dimension is just 80s in a box though.

    Tell me about it.

I've bought 4 Wazas in the last couple of weeks and I'm pondering a fifth.

I really liked the Retrosonic chorus but the Waza looks a bargain by comparison. Plus, I can probably find one to try.

Yeah when I first saw the Waza pedals I thought it was just marketing nonsense. But no the CE2w is amazing and worth the money and I was totally wrong.
