Candy or Emerald Green, I'm not sure. Currently being subjected to pickup upgrade experiments.

I found the stock AFR-P and -J pickups innocuous and uninspiring. The onboard EQ does more than a Duncan/Basslines STC-3 so, for now, it is staying.

Favourite replacement pickup so far has been the Duncan/Basslines AJJ-2 Lightnin' Rods. Does a nice "bubbling" Jaco tone.

Part of me can not help thinking that having a modern feeling bass guitar that sounds like a Fender is an opportunity missed - especially because I own examples of those Fender basses.

Might end up with an APJ-1/AJJ-1 pair.

Ibanez pickups and control electronics out. Bartolini 8S and 9JL1 pickups in. John East Uni-Pre 4 pre-amp ordered.  :)

It would be equally useless with them.

Anybody wanna see an empty control cavity where the new pre-amp - which hasn't been delivered yet - will be installed?

    I didn't think so.

A picture might at least enable an opinion on candy or emerald green
