I just spotted this on Instagram.
https://www.fender.com/ja-JP/electric-guitars/jazzmaster/made-in-japan-traditional-60s-jazzmaster-hh-limited-run-wide-range-cunife-humbucking/5501500300.htmlGoogle translate says,
Made in Japan Traditional series derived by combining the aesthetics of Fender's traditional musical instrument production with the sophisticated craftsmanship of Japan. Fender's orthodox DNA is revived with reliable Made in Japan quality.
Made in Japan Traditional 60s Jazzmaster® HH Limited Run Wide-Range CuNiFe Humbucking, which is limited to the official shop, is equipped with a Wide-Range CuNiFe humbucker that uses a CuNiFe rod magnet to output a rich and bell-like humbucker tone. It is a special model.
Like the popular Made in Japan Traditional series, it features a gloss finish basswood body, vintage-style 21 frets, and a 9.5-inch radius "U" -shaped neck. The rosewood fretboard has a block inlay, which is one of the features of this limited edition model, and is combined with the neck binding to create a unique atmosphere. A 6-saddle vintage-style bridge with a floating tremolo tailpiece provides classical playability.
Comes with a hard shell case. Limited quantity, sold only at Fender Online Shop and FENDER SHOP in MIKI GAKKI AMERICAMURA.
Approx £1100. Looks pretty cool but maybe it's a Japan only release.

and more important, I want an AO-style 70s Thinline Tele with Cunife WRHBs. But at least this suggests they haven’t given up on those pickups
