Hi guys,

Thought it was about time I officially introduced myself. I'm Dan - effects pedal builder. Reasonably new to this forum, but I'm loving the advice and friendliness off all the members I've interacted with so far!

Anyway, I do a little bit of pedal building. It's not quite my main job yet, although I'd probably like it to be. It's certainly what I have the most fun doing, so I've set it up as a business. I would like to mention that I'm hoping not to tread on anyone's toes - I recognise the fantastic job that Frederic Effects and other builders are doing.

The direction it all seems to be taking for me is building one-offs, individual custom pedals, tailored to users. For example, people usually come to me with an idea for a pedal - a name or concept, and I try make that real for them. Or they want two separate pedals in one enclosure, for convenience and to save pedalboard space. Or an old, hard to buy or rare pedal.
I won't be mass producing, or having PCBs fabricated, these will all be made to order. To that end, every pedal also includes the customer's name on the graphics.

I have a Facebook page here and a website here ... the Facebook page is generally kept more up to date.

Here are a few of my favourite builds so far ... you can see loads more on the Facebook page.

Lol I never imagined pickup manufacture as my main job ... careful what you wish for geezer! Anyway, hi Dan and welcome to this little sanctuary of British enterprise lol.

Lovepedal twin pedal at it's heart, tweaked for more gain in the boost mode. Lovely open sounding vintage fender style distortion. I love the one in my board as it sounds so different from all the usual TS style overdrives. I also make it in a standard narrow enclosure, with a toggle switch for the boost rather than a foot switch. PM me for more info :-)

  • Your pedals look amazing.  Have sent you a PM about a custom build, but looking at your website pedal board I'm quite intrigued by your Boosh Funk pedal.

Everyone loves a bit of Old Greg.  What exactly is that pedal? :O

They are the best graphics I have seen on a pedal! What are your prices?

Thought I'd just keep you all updated with a few of this weeks builds ...

Dragonfire - A Lovepedal Superlead and Hybrid Ge/Si fuzz in one lovely sparkly box ...
    image

Sitari ... a transformer based sitar simulator!
    image

Wolf Bagger -   Axis Fuzz and Zvex Machine for craziness!
    image

And my favourite, one for myself - a Cornish G2 in a funky enclosure - I've also added a driver circuit so the backlit needle moves depending on how hard you play the guitar.
