FS: Ibanez RG7421 w/Duncan EMTY 7 pickups. *sold*

Added Ibanez RG7421.

Comes with a set of Seymour Duncan Mick Thompson pickups which make this guitar sound amazing for the heavy stuff. Plays really well. The neck pickup height adjustment tab had broken on one side so I've since fixed this by using Epoxy glue and a guitar pick. A bit of a rough fix but it does work.



Few dings and chips in the paint hence low price.

From what I've read the FGM100 was based on this. The main difference between them is the FGM100 had recessed pickup rings, a different heel and a Dimarzio in the bridge. So not drastically different. I wish it made me play like him though.

Despite being a fender/Gibson purist for many years, I still LOVE this era of Ibanez guitars. Back in the date this was the guitar equivalent of a quick and nimble sports car. Brilliant progressive instruments for their time. This is fantastic value for money for the right kind of musician. GLWS.

Rich Lasner was responsible for this, the Yammie Pacifica 1412 and 1421 and a bunch of other interesting and well thought out instruments from the 80's and 90's.  More recently he did the Vox HDC77 that Prince was using with 3 Eyed Girl.

I have had lots of pointy head stock guitars with floyds.

I got rid of them all except an 80s RG570 which plays absolutely fantastic.  Just the job for those sweep picking moments.

I assume this is a wizard neck and a an Edge trem

Awesome guitar, if I hadn't already purchased three guitars this month I would have been all over this. And I have breathed new life into my 540 with the vinyl so I just cannot justify the additional grief from the gaffa. GLWTS

Ibanez neck profiles tend not to suit me but I think this is wonderful.
