Speakers

Not sure that this is the absolute right place but...

My rig is a Helix feeding 2 Matrix 1x12 FRFR cabs via a Matrix GT1000. In the bedroom, I have a Logitech z 2300 thx speakers connected.The satellite speakers are spread apart  - one on top of the Helix, the other abou 4-5 feet away. I find getting a balance, to play along with recorded music from a desktop PC, difficult. And, although counter-intuitive, the Helix sounds better the more I turn up the GT1000. I also have a pair of Wharfdale Diamond 8.1 pro actives that I could connect to my PC, but would it sound any better?
I'm thinking that, since I don't use the Wharfdales I might as well get rid of them. Or use them.
