Anyone making a good Aria SB1000 pickup replacement?

The E is quiet on mine.. weak magnet?   It is an original.. 1980’ish

I believe Kent Armstrong made some in past but can’t see anything online.

SB-1000s are active, but the pickup is a standard passive type - it's just the preamp which is active.

I've seen this, and they look very high quality, but have no experience of them personally - https://www.rautiaguitars.net/aria-pro-ii.html

I have the page bookmarked in case anything happens to the one in my SB-R80 though!

I recall @HarrySeven improvising a solution for an Eighties Aria or Westone bass pickup. Unfortunately, I cannot recall whether he posted a Discussion about it on this forum or it was a private e-mail.
    Be seeing you.

  • Thanks. It is a passive pickup with a meaty 18v active circuit.

Amazing bass.. just annoying to have to overplay the E.

I have repaired quite a few of these Aria pickups - unlikely to be the magnets - unless you got them too close to a Neodymium speaker magnet etc. Always happy to take a look at it for you.

    Thanks.. still not sorted it.

It is usually used for theatre shows and wedding gigs which are still light at the moment.

What is approx cost of a rewind?
