Came across this list today. Some great things so far, I'm already a big fan of Ava Mendoza, Chris Sharkey and Han-Earl Park but looking forward to delving into the rest of the list.

I think I might struggle with the third one on the list (although it does pique my curiosity), but I think I'd like all of these. Going to listen through them while working tomorrow.

An album that fits that bill is the 70's guitar noise racket, Love Devotion Surrender.  It's so bombastic and 'orrible I LOVE it

    Mclaughlin & Santana

    Neil Young - Le Noise
Anything with Sonny Sharrock on it.
Maybe some Fred Frith / Henry Cow.

It wasn't released in the last 12 months, but a little over.

My favourite contemporary guitar album for a while.

I’ve got it cos I love Johnny Mac but I think I’ve played it a handful of times. Can’t stand it…. sounds like they were just pissing about in a shed for a couple of hours and left the tape running.

Big fan of Rangda here. Their Formerly Extinct album is great
