1965 Vox AC4
Super cool 1965 Vox AC4. Sounds absolutely amazing.
All original as far as I know (even some original valves I think), zero issues, cosmetically/audibly brilliant. Amazing condition for near 60yrs of age, barely even any proper nicks at all in the tolex. The valve for the tremolo circuit might need changing as is a bit variable in strength. Sometimes a very full trem, other times a bit weaker. I rarely use the trem, so not really bothered to mess about with the valves. You have to drop the chassis out to change valves. Original foot switch for the trem is included also.
Really a great fun to play amp. Nice cleans and edge of break up, and then full on Voxy drive tones when you wind it up. A proper vintage amp experience, modern versions do not sound like this at all. Runs really quiet too. Don’t see that many of them about, and JMI era Vox always going up in value.
