For those who aren't in the group on Facebook, it's also on eBay. In fact, the Facebook post has now been deleted.

Chibson, but not as many obvious tell-tale signs as most. Most obvious is the headstock being just... completely wrong, but also Epiphone pickup rings (too creamy, too wide), chrome hardware (not nickel), and a cheapie aftermarket case doesn't help.

I think the body shape is the Epiphone rounder horn too, but it's harder to tell - the pickup selector is actually positioned correctly, which it rarely is on Epiphones and Chibsons, and the body shape isn't as wildly wrong as most.

Edit: oh god, I've only just seen the travesty of a logo attempt.

Report to group admins, report to Facebook, report to eBay, and hopefully it'll go away.

Do you even have to ask?

Headstock shape is wrong; binding on the body is wrong; no nib binding, logo too big and wrongly placed, nut is wonky, truss rod cover is misaligned, body clearly finished in cheap poly, etc.

The top of that headstock looks way too exaggerated from the 'open book' on any of mine.

Serial dates it to 20 June 2006. Is that the year it is being sold as?

when did they stop stamping the year on the headstock (genuine Q)

also the tuners don't appear to line up "symmetrically"
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Started in either 2012 or 2013, I think, and stopped with the new management in 2020.

Then I am clearly mistaken! A quick Google suggests 2008, which makes sense as that's when they revamped the LP spec and started playing with more regular model revisions.

Ebay listing has now ended saying "best offer accepted"; I reported it when I saw it, so I hope that's a mistake.

    Obviously Chibson. :(

FYI - despite many obvious flaws (as pointed out by @fnpt and others), an immediate one is now absent on the more recent examples I’ve seen - the bridge mounting posts are often now closer to the genuine article than the previous ‘import’ slot-head style.
