HiI all. I'm from Cape Town and I'm just getting back into playing guitar after a long break. My family's bought me an Epiphone Les Paul for my upcoming fiftieth birthday and I'm very grateful and excited.

Q1:  Where did you username come from?

- My Epiphone is a Lemon Burst. I was going to be  LemonBurst&OrangeCrush but it didn't fit.

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you?

- Cape Town, South Africa

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition?

- just to enjoy myself now. 

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?

- the Orange 35RT arriving this afternoon.

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?

- No number one track, but I'll pick the New York Doll's Trash for making me want to play again.

Hey folks!

Jack from Rotosound here In case you didn't know, we're a family-run company, making music strings since 1958.
Our factory and offices are located in Sevenoaks, Kent, England. This is about 10 miles out from SE London, where the company first started making strings.

Musical ambition? I'd say it's to keep making proper guitar and bass strings that connect players to the music they love.

I always recommend our British Steels electric guitar strings – they sound quite and feel quite different to "regular" nickel-coated steel strings and are what a lot of guitar heros from the '60s and '70s played.

#1 ever track would be that jingle between Our Love Was and I Can See For Miles on The Who Sell Out  

I hope we can be a part of TheFretboard community and help with string-related questions!

- Who knows, its been a gaming handle i've used  over the years

- South of England,  UK.  Born in London then moved south toward Brighton

- to properly  learn  music theory and progress my playing to a level i can properly play 80's shred !

- difficult, but probably my Marshall amp or my limited edition Charvel
