Eyup. I'm Bob, a misplaced Yorkshireman transplanted in the South West. I cut my teeth in bands playing bass with a modicum of success, then diverted to electronic performance art-noise/rock when I moved to Briz 25 years ago. Gave up music around '05 but plunged back in this year when my son began showing an interest in guitar/recording.

I spend most of my spare time attempting to relearn guitar, gazing longingly at effects pedals and amplifiers online, and trying desperately to not say things that are reminiscent of Crème Brûlée's Les McQueen. Shit business!

Age 59 originally from Belfast Northern Ireland now living in Brisbane Australia with wife,.Doberman, chickens and a parrot.

Have achieved most of my musical ambitions which were to gig regulary , keep learning and have a good time.

Am now trying to learn tenor sax as keeping isolated due to underlying health conditions and covid.

Impossible to seriouslyt select a favourite track but if pressed i suspect todays one might be Dark Star by Grateful Dead at the Bickershaw festival in 1972.

• Q2:  Where in the world/country am I? Hertfordshire, UK
• Q3:  What's my main musical ambition? To get a band together this year, (un)covering spacious, hidden gems by the likes of Bat For Lashes, Rilo Kiley, Cat Power, Heather Nova, Feist. This will (hopefully) be my first live performances for nearly 40 years. It'll be just for fun, maybe 1 pub gig per month?

Q1: Hate to be that person that's about as unique as a pumpkin spiced latte near Christmas but it's just a chop down on my first name.

Q2: In the UK, Essex to be more accurate.

Q3: Actually put the time into playing an instrument, I need to train my voice and id rather do it singing and playing a 6 String. There's a bit more to it, given my eyesights recently gone a tiny bit downhill and I could use getting away from screens and the such.

Q4: None, nada, nish currently, actually why I joined the forum, I'm absolutely heartset on finding a 2012 Fender FSR Special Edition Telecaster in black with the twin Humbucker's and its killing me I can't.
