On/off switch for pedal board

Does anyone have a solution for installing some kind of switch to turn a pedal board on and off?

I have a looper on my board and the only way to turn it off is to remove the cable, which I end up doing about 10 times a day so a small switch would be really useful.

I know I could just switch it off at the wall but the plug socket is under a desk and a bit of a pain to get to.

The only solution I can see is some kind of mains power foot switch to plug the power supply of the pedal board into, although there isn’t many options available for this that I can find.

Be interested to hear if anyone has any other solutions to this third world issue…

I got one installed when i bought mine.  It's essentially an IEC male to female jack on either end and a on/off switch in between.  Get a separate IEC male to female lead to go from the PSU to the switch and a normal kettle lead on the outside.

What's the looper power supply? Might be simpler to only switch that, especially if its low voltage.

I can find mostly DIY solutions online and the only professional jobbie is this one which is not cheap but it's neat.

I have a Cioks DC5 power supply under the board which is always plugged into the wall, which powers all the pedals (it’s only a small pedal board).

The looper is just a Boss RC1.

If it wasn’t for the looper, I wouldn’t have to unplug the cable but it seems to always be on unless you remove it.

I’m surprised there isn’t a tiny pedal that exists with a simple on/off switch. I though a kill switch did this but apparently not!

It'd be very simple to make a teeny switch that breaks the PSU connection to just the looper.

Think of that cable I linked to as a tiny pedal, in line pedal.

In fact, I might get one myself next month for my smaller boards.

Buy an extension lead that has a switch on it by the sockets and plug the kettle lead into that.  Easy switch right there.

I’ve got this exact issue, my looper and whammy are always on. I’ll disconnect the looper but the whammy setting LED is always on. What a faff and the switches above are a nice solution

I had a similar issue because I have an EHX 5mm pedal amp. I don't always want to use it. Sometimes my pedal board is going into a "proper" amp, other times the EHX. But I didn't want to have to keep disconnecting the EHX from the power supply. So I got these:

If you just unplug the dc plug to the looper, the other pedals are all still powered up anyway?

I also have a Cioks and a rocker switch in an easily accessible place would be an improvement. Then the whole board could be powered down without unplugging the mains cable. I have a 4-way mains adapter on the floor with individual rocker switches for the 4 sockets and just switch off the pedalboard that way.

Not with a Cioks, they use IEC C5 sockets, not kettle lead types.

I know three of us have posted links to basically the same item, but if it were me, I'd do as @fastonebaz suggests and just get (or make) a short extension lead with a switched socket.

You can buy a mains cable with an inline switch from CPC  and just wire a C5 on the end. 

You can also put a Wifi switch in-between the mains socket and the pedal power lead and turn it on and off with your phone

Switched single extension has to be simplest option though
