FS: Dallas Shaftesbury/Scala 515 7w valve amp. Early 60's. £500.
What's Hot
This was made in the UK by Dallas in the early 60's, before they started producing Sound City amp and became Dallas-Arbiter. These models were only produced between 1959-1965. I assume this is a later one as early versions are blue with controls on the side. The same 515 amp can be branded as Dallas, Scala, Rangemaster or, like this one Shaftesbury
It has 2 inputs, each with its own volume, and a on/off/tone dial as well. This one has one original Mullard ECC83 in the pre-amp position, along with a newer EL84 and EZ80 rectifier. The speaker is an original Richard Allen. Good condition inside and out. It looks like its had some caps replaced and some additional shielding added for noise reduction at some point in its life.
back removed for some gut shots
