If it’s any help I’m happy to post it as I have an old duvet I can wrap it in before boxing it.
This worked a charm for buying the Zilla on here.

What a super duper cab too by the way. Cheers pal.

Many thanks @GoFish ; . . . . but I closed my thread only yesterday as I had picked up a rather lush 79 SF Vibro Champ . .  Very much appreciated though, all the best   :-)
Id just like to point out that, despite all the video and DNA evidence, it genuinely wasn't me, your Honour  !

Would love my old mjw back but I think distance might be the big blocker here!

Interested @Petepassion on comparison with the HDRX. I've got one too, and there's similarities with the MJW but would love to hear from someone who's tried them side by side!

Would be interesting to take them to the rehearsal room and try them side by side.

Without hopping directly from one to the other it's quite difficult, as you say, they are very similar regarding EQ and dual gain/master volume controls and do sound very similar.
But from memory I would say the PRS is definitely louder, as you know these will easily keep up with a loud band(see my vid), whereas the MJW would struggle in the same scenario.
I would say the MJW has a slightly better quality of sound and maybe the drive sound at lower volumes is better. I found the PRS needs to drive the output stage to start getting a good drive sound unless you're using pedals.
They both take pedals really well.
If I get chance and still have them both in a couple of weeks I may do a comparison.

Great roundup - tallies with my view of the HDRX - tried running the gains higher and Master way down to start but works better the other way, which the MJW I recall did to a point but maintained that bit of 'give' that made it nice to play regardless. The HDRX can feel a bit stiff at some settings by comparison.

If the MJW got the same tubes in it as I sold it with, it will have Tung Sols in the preamp, which soften up and sweeten the preamp. I preferred them to JJs.

The Cannabis Rex in it was partially to remedy the possible lack of volume with the MJW, but I often got asked to turn it down rather than up when gigging!

Both amps are great pedal platforms for gigging players - GLWTS, will stop interrupting your thread!

It came with a Celestion V30 fitted, but @TheMarlin also gave me the Cannabis Rex too. The V30 for me was too fizzy with drive, but the Cannabis Rex works perfectly.

Yeah, we play a bit too loud  :)

Due to buying an SG today I could do with shifting these now, so prices dropped.
Silly prices now, but need to replace some funds.
