    This was us a week and a bit ago on the standard local festival trek - love this band, such fun to play with :-)

    Usual average sound on stage - seemed to be fine out from - soundman loved his vocal delay!

    I’m not a fan of CCR but your band is ace & your versions a cool one

    Love the sound of that Strat Sir! What amp are you using? Oh shit I just read it! Sounds superb- never heard a HRD sound so good! Pedals? Has to be? Can’t be the orrible crunchy channel surely?
    Thanks @rockmonster ;
    I only use the clean channel, this time just pushed a bit with a Drivemaster pedal, in fact this amp has the channel switching relay bypassed and the Drive channel knobs removed, just so I can't accidentally switch on the vileness.
    :)

    Strat bridge pickups need pushed clean channels in my opinion, which is why they fell out of favour from 1980-ish when everyone discovered the convenience of MV amps. Hendrix and Blackmore's bridge pickups sounded huge!

    It's a Mk2, but I've put a Creamback in it. It sings at full volume, as in the video I posted on page 19 of this thread.

    Pink Floyd Sorrow from Friday. I can't take credit for the epic solos - I'm on keys:

    First gig with new band we’ve started on Tuesday. Also the first time I’ve played a Strat onstage. They’re great guitars - do you think they’ll catch on?

    Agreed. I never understand how people get a good rocky sound from a strat bridge pup. Guitar tone down or dirt pedal tone down, @26.2 ?

    Thanks! Fender Vibrolux on bright channel (you should be able to see it at the back.

    Barber Gain Changer into Deluxe Memory Man for the first clip. Tubescreamer kicked in for solo bits.

    Second clip is Tubescreamer into Gain Changer into Boss RE2 Space Echo. All on throughout.

    Strat volume is on 9 and and tone about 8. Overdrive pedals tone about half way. Amp volume about 4. I find the Strat comes together beautifully at gig/rehearsal  volumes - it can sound a bit thin on the bridge pickup at lower volumes. Dunno if that makes sense?

    It does. Do you roll the guitar volume up to 10 at all, or just leave it on 9?

    Never on 10 - it has a bit too much edge for me.

    Thanks mate, I’m down Casemates tonight, 3 hour solo session, 4 amps, 2 guitars and 2 pedal boards…how fortunate are we to have such opportunities.
       Mind you, Child’s grown up and I’m a single man now…playtime  :)
