While I do get the romance attached to those old American barns, from my slightly more parochial viewpoint that just looks like a bit of crappy old garden decking to me.

I've seen much better reclaimed wood guitars on this forum.

I'm not sure there's any hint of American barn in this guitar from Slovenian luthier Damian Kuzmijak

Yeah sorry, there used to be place called Maybury guitars who did that sort of thing? 

But I was thinking more about Axisus' guitar and someone else on the forum who built a lovely nautical-themed one.

@Scavenger maybe? Technically I suppose his builds are more Pianocasters rather than Barncasters but the concept is the same and they’re Pretty Damed Cool anyway…

Rick Kelly is the famous New York maker of 'rough' teles and strats and makes guitars with long waiting lists for the likes of Bob Dylan , Ronnie Wood etc.......big fat necks and no trussrods.....made from New York Bar Tops and old Timber bridges etc

Funny , if Fender Custom shop did something like that with old Tequila crates and called it the Texmex Special it would sell out in hours at £5000 each

I'll probably sell it the same day I sell my children. Actually I have probably put a lot of people off now by adding a Bigsby ....

Been in touch with Damian Kuzmijak via FaceBook and he's building me one starting Monday same as the one in my OP! £790.

Damian says he will send me photo updates on the build and should take around 1 month.

Up yours relic barncaster haters!
