Extra seat or Hiscox case in the hold IME.

BA ground staff are the most guitar unfriendly, think they're bonussed on hassling musos (onboard ones are fine).
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

So my trip to Calpe in January was fantastic saw so many pro cyclists, great roads & friends made, I'm going back for 2 months this winter, dirt cheap if you book Airbnb early.

My Bourgeois acoustic sat in it's seat next to me on Easyjet, no issues at all, except wrestling a bike box, a guitar a suitcase, which doubled as a backpack & my hand luggage. I'd recommend the ticket for your instrument, no problems at all!

Thanks for that really informative reply, I've bought a seat for the guitar, in a hard case, all should be fine, I'm going to check the humidity in my apartment too when I arrive. Just can't be parted from a decent guitar for a month!
Did you pay extra so you can sit side by side?

Keep us posted, and hope you have a great time in Spain, whether or not you decide to come back, at all, if ever!
I did a minimal setup when the guitar arrived, lowered the strings (they were incredibly high), intonated, etc. Lowered the ceramics as well, they were super loud and in your face. Now the guitar sounds and plays great.

Some not-greats I've found with intensive use: the baked maple fingerboard feels weird, as it's somehow not made of wood, but it's comfortable. Fret ends are not sharp (good), and tuning stability is not great but I can live with that – just need to tune up between songs. Some of the frets do feel a bit rough as the strings don't slide nicely on them when doing bends. If I was home I would be doing a full setup including polishing the frets a bit, but this guitar is staying at my mum's and won't be getting that much attention. It's very playable as it is, though.
