Have you considered the Victory The Duchess V4 pedal amp? You may have more people with experience out there. I’ve owned The Copper V4 amp, which was fantastic.
So it looks like those are slightly lower powered than the Milkman -  90w into 8 ohms. Have you used it like that, or were you going 180w into 4 ohms?

If you've also gigged with similar valve amps could you give a rough comparison between the two, level/headroom wise?

I haven’t gigged in 20 years unfortunately, but I ran it through a 16ohm cab and it was definitely “small pub” loud. Hard to judge the headroom as I preferred it on the top boost channel. Sorry mate.

    It ripped though.

I have gigged my V4 Duchess amp and it works fine. I’m actually selling it as it’s surplus to requirements.

I have a Quilter mach2 1x8 and a Milkman 100. (For reference, my main amp now is a Redplate.. complete tone snob territory.)
The Milkman is more deluxe volume than twin for sure. Totally gigable though.
Both sound strong and clear but in a fairly loud band they both lack the mid frequencies that assure on of really pushing through the mix with less volume so one tends to wind them up quite a bit. (I said the same of a Headstrong lil king S to some extent though, which is an utterly superb amp in many ways). I owned a blackfaced 73 SFDR for some years and while it did eventually get burried in a loud live band, it did survive a bit more because it seemed to have more dynamic range (I guess that’s one definition of headroom?) and something subtly extra somewhere in the mids.
Generally I would say the Milkman does its one trick of sounding like a BF/SF better and takes od pedals really well too. While the Quilter is more flexible and tweakable (depending on which model you end up with). They both work really well. I’ve heard people gush about both… but tbh the Redplate sets a very high bar which I don’t think they reach. Both MUCH smaller and lighter though.
One thing of note… if you’re used to ToneX/line6/IR type speaker emulation then the di outputs on both of these may leave you wanting without a bit of polish.
I’m actually thinking of selling both if you’re interested because I don’t really have a practical application at present.
By all means hit me up with any other questions though… no strings.
