FS/FT: Grover Jackson GJ2 Shredder guitar

Hi there,

I'm trying to focus my gear collection on what I actually play rather than what I think I would like to play.

The worst thing about this guitar is its name - it's a GJ2 Shredder, in every other way it is a high end guitar.

The really (almost unique, but not quite) special thing about this guitar is that it is a superstrat with a 24.75 scale length. So if you want to really nail the 3 note per string stuff it makes the stretches just that bit easier to reach.

• Factory plek
• Seymour Duncan Pickups 59 in the neck and JB in the bridge. (SH-1N  and TB - 4)

 This guitar is absolutely immaculate and plays beautifully with no more than 3 or 4 hours play on it since I got it (hence selling it).

What kind of trades might you be tempted by?

Depends which guitar you are looking at.

 Guitar wise it's nothing above a 25 inch scale and very unlikely to be my cup of tea if it doesn't have a trem. On specifics, I'm pretty interested in a recent model PRS Studio.
 
If it's smaller items then pedals are possibly interesting. 

I'm also currently looking at getting an amp, but would need to be pretty special.

That Uptown Strat just does it for me!  Beautiful mutant.  

 I saw the pics but it’s hard to tell - what would you say the condition of the frets is like?  Any marks or dings anywhere? Any issues with the setup?

Yes, it's a cool looking thing for sure. The finish is also really cool with the feel of the wood grain.

Frets are 100%. No marks or dings anywhere.

Setup depends on your preference - not a super low action on it at the moment.

Yes, it's a cool looking thing for sure. The finish is also really cool with the feel of the wood grain.

Do you happen to know/are you able to advise the weight of the Uptown, please?

And were the Schaller locking tuners a drop in replacement for the Fender two pin originals or was any surgery required?

Are you able to ship (UK mainland) if necessary?

Schaller tuners were a drop in replacement - as you say, two pin, so no surgery required.

 I would really, really like to avoid shipping - partly on practicality and partly want to make sure that the whole transaction leaves both parties 100% happy.
