I've counted the votes... I had to get a bigger calculator, it was a bit of a landslide this month

Thank you everyone for your reaction to the photo - I wasn't really expecting it and feel a bit overwhelmed by it.  Obviously I like it otherwise I wouldn't have entered it, but really, thank you!

The photo was taken in Mallorca, I was stuck on Britannia (oh, the hardship) the day after a violent storm while divers and engineers analysed whether the ship was fit to sail after an accident during the storm the previous day.

About 7am this mahoosive Royal Caribbean cruise liner made berth opposite Britannia - I thought Britannia was big but this thing was on an other level.  I popped a couple of shots off during berthing and afterwards when everyone started to wake up and come out onto their balconies.  The light was just stunning that time of day too.

I found the dichotomy quite interesting.  On the one hand everyone on a cruise ship is made to feel quite special and unique, and it is a rather wonderful way to spend a couple of weeks.  Then on the other, everyone is just shoe-horned into identical little cabins and nobody is really special at all.  It's all a bit vulgar but all still very pleasant at the same time.

@skullfunkerry, I'll think of a theme and drop you a message soonish, and thank you for keeping this corner of theFretboard going and maintaining interest in the photo competition, I really enjoy it and appreciate your effort.
