As for "when am I ready?" You'll never be ready. It works in reverse, you become ready by doing it. - pmbomb

They're based in the US but the quality and relative speed of delivery make it worth it IMO. One thjng to note is that their poker chips are made of coated metal o allow them to withstand the engraving without risk of breakage or being weakened and then broken in transit. Btw there is another company StrathVegas but, annoyingly, they curve the lettering so if that stuff bugs you - it nearly broke me cuz IT SHOULD BE STRAIGHT GODDAMMIT - then avoid.
I have a few and, as you've seen, one of those is Cagney/Lacey (I was a huge fan of both and watched the TV show avidly as a girl).
I also have: Beverly/Elliot #DeadRingers (Netflix Rachel Weiss version)
Madness/Mayhem - Fight Club reference
And possibly my fave - although I don't currently have a Gibson needing a black poker chip so it's in my parts drawer for now - is Thanos/Ian Beale (the goal was to name two individuals with the potential to destroy all who dare to cross them. Both fair choices, I felt)
I also once took an original cream poker chip to a local engraver - he does sports trophies and plaque etc - and he was able to engrave over the "Treble" so that the poker chip now read:
Rhythm/Trouble
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this route though, as he expected the plastic of the poker chip not to be able to withstand the engraving tool. It worked for me but...I've been using Philadelphia Luthier ever since.

I really like the Indica/Sativa one.
