Or the American-baffling front & back, which will never make sense to me.

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Americans and their guns I reckon. The back of the rifle is the butt, the other is the front that is pointed at things.
The pointy end of a guitar is the headstock.

Why are we calling them Poker Chips ?  It’s a nice name but basically it is a switch cover?

    No idea!

What have Romford and Las Vegas got in common?
In both places you can pay for sex with chips...

Switch plate, perhaps, as it doesn't cover the switch.

It's just an American thing.  None of us can really explain it properly because we're not Elvis.

I first heard this in a podcast interview with ex-footballer Neil Ruddock. I was out for a walk at the time and was almost doubled over, crying with laughter.

Back on topic, why not a custom TFB one with Fret and Board?

Here's mine, I felt it represented my playing style better than the original.

Because when you are carrying a guitar in its case or gigbag the neck will be towards the front and the bridge will be towards the back.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it
