    James Hetfield - ESP Snakebyte

Dave Mustaine - Dean/ESP/Gibson Mustaine V (and back in the Jackson days, the Y2KV)

Nancy Wilson - Gibson Nighthawk (sure she can't be the only one, but I don't recall seeing anyone else with one)

Kurt Cobain - Jagstang? (not sure he actually ever played one?)
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

Sorry for multiple posts. I just gotta say I love it when guitarists use a unique guitar. Not a trendy one, just one the works for them.

Josh Homme loves a Maton, you don't see many others using them.

Matt Bellamy is synonymous with Manson, when I see someone else playing one (not just the custom models) I immediately think of him.

Daevid Allen played a white Hohner G3T cricket bat. Steve Hillage played a real Steinberger. I'm sure this was for practical reasons more than anything but at least in Daevid's case it matched his outfit.

I always liked Tonka Chapman and his Rich Bich 10 string (though the "extra" four strings weren't used and apparantly a lot of the fancy electronics was disconnected because jokers in the front row used to reach up and tweak the switches).

Phil Campbell of Motorhead rocked a Minarik Inferno - which he could frequently be seen playing live, especially around the time of their coincidentally-named Inferno album. That said, bizarrely, this link shows Lemmy playing a bass version - which I don’t recall ever seeing before .

Joe Perry was an early adopter of BC Rich guitars as well, I think he also removed the four extra strings on the Bich.

And before Maton, he played Ovation Ultra GP models.  I'm not aware of anyone else who uses those.
