I wonder what amp's are being used as I always assumed they were JCM800's cranked but I've seen in the past Vox's and Hiwatt amps on stage. Couldn't see very well on any live clips on YouTube.

It's got that nice sizzle to the top end but still mid-rangey to give it some good punch.

Ah cheers Chris, I can see the Hiwatt is still there but that's the other side to where Noel's amps are which I can't see that well.

That's the soundstage rehearsal, not the venues!

It's the same on the other side anyway - Noel bought four DR504 212 combos and another two for Gem's side. The six 212 cabs underneath are loaded but not firing to raise the combos off the stage. 

There was talk of Noel mixing the Blues Juniors in too like he did on the 2009 tour, but I haven't seen the shots to tell you if that happened.

Noel and Gem had HiWatts and Bonehead some Bluesbreakers, maybe 1974xs. All the video from Friday seems to show them having 2 each rather than having them stacked like the photo. I agree about them sounding better than ever - proper rehearsal and no larking about has had an effect by the looks.

Noel was using Hiwatts and Bluesbreakers. No sign of the Blues Jr. Read the Kingsley Page doing that job.

Seems like that HiWatt is the majority of the tone, never knew the model was the DR504 though. I must stop using the JCM800 to do covers then haha.

Gotta be the most non-dynamic (is that a word?!) and most bored looking set of paid 'entertainers' ever. I like a lot of their music, but I wouldn't even go to watch them as a pub band let alone pay through nose to see them.

If you’re looking for an energetic full on OTT rock n roll performance like early GnR well… that’s never been their style. They’re not gonna change now 

It's very specifically a greatest hits show aimed at recreating what they've done before.
There is no desire to add anything new, they aren't really playing anything beyond the first three albums other than one track.

I have never looked forward to a gig as much as I’m looking forward to Wembley in September. Just hoping they don’t kill each other before then.

That does just sound huge....... 

I was lucky enough to be 14 when DM was released - it changed everything for me - made music seem like it was something for me and my mates.....

I clearly remember listing to Slide Away, full volume on a tape walkman with the sun shining, going down the street to meet me mates to play football.... the power of that song. Good memories..... 

It feels like the world still needs Oasis.....

I reckon there'll be a live album from this. Sounds great with the 3 guitars.

BTW I bought that HiWatt DR504 Kemper profile pack and it sounds pretty good.
