Toto/Christopher Cross tour next year

What's Hot

Managed to secure tickets in the pre-sale for birmingham this morning. Tickets were disappearing like wildfire as soon as they went on sale...so I wasn't particularly happy with the ones we ended up with but could have been a lot worse.

not seen them live since the Falling In Between tour and never had the chance to see Christopher Cross live either...so I'm buzzing

I'm hope to be going to the London show providing I can get tickets tomorrow but I'll try the pre-sale and Toto are superb live and always have a crystal clear and great sound.

Drummers need to check out Shannon Forrest as I believe he's the closest thing you'll get to Jeff Pocaro.

    Yacht Rock Central ! :)

Good luck with the tickets! in hindsight, the £150+ costs of the tickets near the front were probably a bit much haha - so I'll take the £65 ones we ended up with.

  • Relieved they're not coming to Ireland, avoids more queuing and gnashing and domestic debate.

    - would you like to see Toto and Christopher Cross ?

    "you wouldn't come to Oasis."

    - hold the line.

  • Interesting post from Luke about the tour:

“PS….To all of our fans across the UK and Europe – We do read every post on the socials. It’s of enormous importance that there is clarity the announced itinerary is being approached with these venues being scalable. First, these specific venues were available. Second, to accommodate interest, should ticket sales approach exceeding the initial seats made available, then the venue will expand inventory so every fan that wants to be in the house will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket. Toto will stage this tour so for those that have shared pessimism tied to other artists who have cancelled, that opinion is simply not accurate. It was imperative that we post this detail to cut off at the pass conjecture that’s not on point. It’s been seven years since Toto played the UK, and we will not let our fans down. We’ll be there and look forward to seeing all of you in February.“

Saw that earlier. I can only assume there were fans moaning they couldn’t get a ticket in the presale and have commented and made assumptions about cancelling like a certain few other bands have in recent years.

    Social media is the worst.

Going to London and got B block at Wembley, central to the stage and not that far back for £70. I'm very pleased with that and I know exactly what I'll be getting for that as they always deliver

  • Got my Brum tickets too, block B row D so pretty close to front, always guaranteed a good gig with Toto even with my best mate Greg on keys…

    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

Saw you all giving it beans on the barricade haha.

Great show. Gutted they skipped Dying on my Feet which they played last night in Glasgow ffs, as Phillinganes is superb on that track.

Other than that, just the perfect example of a supremely talented ensemble of musicians at the peak of their ability. Latest addition on the Keys, Dennis Atlas was particularly spiffing. Very impressed by him.

Christopher Cross was banging too. Can’t believe the bloke is 73 and still sounds so good.

Oh and I miss Simon Phillips on drums but Shannon Forest is very good indeed.

Lukes wireless system died during Africa, poor sod
It went twice but was rectified very quickly and didn't affect the song. If it's the same tech that saved the day a few years ago and looked to completely wire up his board and change a power supply within one song and to be ready for the solo, he's definitely doing his job and earning his keep :)

There's a few posts of the UK tour here including my own thoughts on last night :)

We were side of stage up from where the guitar tech was situated - I was watching him for much of the night, very good at his job, I must say.

    The wonderful Jon Gosnell!!

Spoke to him for a bit at the Chelsea show (and he gave me one of Luke’s picks) very knowledgeable guy and there are multitude of gear rundown vids on YouTube featuring him.

Got a pick this time around too but it wasn’t Jon.
