For sale is my Martin guitar.
OM28 Marquis (£3,300 £3,099 £2,899 £2,699)
A big step-up from the standard series, the OM28 Marquis was the precursor to the now top-of-the-Martin-range Authentic series. Sporting an adirondack top with golden era bracing and east-indian rosewood back & sides, this guitar is a standard OM28 on steroids.
From 2006, the top is fully broken in and she is the loudest and boomiest guitar in my collection, only behind my D28 Marquis. But sounds much sweeter. As a result, you can hear and feel its open and enveloping sound when playing, feeling its rumbling bass in your tummy as the back vibrates.
She shows some signs of having been loved, and I've captured those in the last four pictures. No cracks at all. She's had a neck reset and a complete new refret, having been pleked in the process. She's had a new bone nut cut, with the original in the case, as well as a new bone compensated saddle cut too. She's ready to bring joy to someone for the next 30 years & more. I urge anyone interested to come and try her for themselves: she'll do all the talking.
Comes with original hard case. Collection in Twickenham or central London. I'm also willing to meet-up in the home counties areas, ideall south or west. No trades - sale only.
