Playing Octaves with Fingers (Not Thumb)

I've been trying to play Octaves with Fingers not the usual thumb technique.

Hopefully it'll improve, but we will see.

Hi Guy - I have heard George B use this method to create a tremolo effect which is cool, but I always find it swings much better using just the thumb.  Just wondering if you have a particular preference for this method?

I think the thumb sounds better/smoother. But, I pick exclusively using my fingers, so I'm trying this method.
