Recording from Groovebox

What's Hot
Hi all, I sometimes like to make music using a couple of groove boxes - circuit tracks and a MC101.
What's the most accurate way for me to record the sounds from the groovebox into a DAW?

At times I want to record a full track from the box, and other times it's just a drum one shot or similar.

Is it just a case of audio out, into an audio interface into the daw?

Unless they support USB over audio, yes that is how you do it.

I like to sync them to midi clock from the DAW too, sometimes internal clocks in some groove boxes can be a bit wavy.

As octatonic said, add midi sync to make life easier.

I think the MC101 can do multi channel usb audio.

The circuit tracks can't and also can't export stems so it's annoying unless you want to record as stereo.

Thanks all. I've got tonnes of samples but sometimes the immediacy and tactile nature of a groovebox fires up inspiration like nothing else. If I try to change the sounds to whatever is in my DAW it never feels the same as it did in the groovebox!

I would sync to the Daw at mentioned above then record each track in individually by soloing the audio on each sequencer channel. Then you can mix in the box as separate tracks.
