    FB groups are a great place to start - make sure to check out as many as you can, and those just out of area, as it`ll widen the pool. We advertised for a bass player for our Swindon based band - the new guy is for a little further afield but happy to travel.

    Are there FB groups dedicated to Americana? Maybe post on there? 

    Follow bands that play the stuff you like and get to know them - they may know of others that are looking?

    And lastly jam / open mic nights - great way to meet others and show what you can do - and also checkout would be band mates!
