I saw the Blues Brothers band (Steve Cropper et al) many, many years ago and Sam was the main vocalist. It's a very happy memory. Music legend and talent. RIP.

Although they signed to J Wexler and Atlantic records, it was their loan spell at Stax that created their fame - Some magic came out of that stable and Sam n Dave were part of it  - Sadly both are now no longer with us but those songs will last forever- RIP

A lot of the magic was also from the songwriting of Isaac Hayes.

exactly but he was part of the Stax team for many years - But team was the key word -be it the session guys or whatever
